Bison Gear & Engineering introduces a series of
fractional horsepower DC gearmotors featuring right angle worm gearing.
Designed to also function as Von Weise Drop-In Replacements, the Bison
Gear VWDIR23 gearmotors are available in 6 standard 90 volt DC input
models. With gear ratios from 37:1 to 525:1, corresponding fixed output
speeds range from 90 to 3 RPM, and output torques from 34 to 250 in-lbs
(3.8 to 28.3 N-m).
These Bison drop-in replacements for VW23 and VW33 gearmotors feature
1/10 or 1/20 hp (75 or 150 watt) permanent magnet DC motors with
replaceable brushes, grease lubrication for long life and all-position
mounting, with left, right or dual output shafts with a 100 lb. (45.4
kg.) overhung load rating. |

A knob provides a convenient on/off switch
with three adjustable potentiometers which
provide settings for minimum and maximum
RPM and current limit. |
